THREE RIVERS RAGDOLLS CONTRACT - HEALTH GUARANTEE
***This is what you will sign when picking up your kitten. A copy will be given to you at pick up to keep in your kittens folder.
This kitten is guaranteed to be healthy before leaving Sellers home and has been vet checked by our veterinarian before leaving. Upon receipt of kitten, Buyer has 5 days to have a complete physical examination done by a veterinarian of their choosing, with the exception of Banfield Pet Hospital. Please do not use this nationwide chain. Kitten must be kept secluded from all other pets until after examination. This health guarantee is void if Buyer fails to have a vet examine the kitten within 5 days of purchase. All veterinary care and fees are the responsibility of the Buyer. Please keep in mind that new kittens may show signs of stress when brought into a new environment which may include sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea or constipation. These should resolve within a few days. The kitten will need additional vaccines and may need to be wormed again by your vet, as multiple wormings are necessary in most kittens.
If this kitten is found to have any life-threatening illness or congenital defect that results in death within one year of kittens DATE OF BIRTH above, Buyer must immediately notify Seller and provide Seller with a written statement from a licensed veterinarian stating the unquestionable illness or congenital defect. If death results from a congenital or hereditary defect, Seller will then replace the kitten with a comparable replacement, chosen by the Seller, within a year. Buyer agrees to give authorization for Seller to make verbal contact with examining veterinarian before replacing the kitten. All veterinary care and associated costs are the responsibility of Buyer.
The kitten has a one year guarantee from the date of birth against lethal genetic or congenital defects, including Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). If a lethal genetic or congenital defect presents itself within the first year that results in death, seller shall replace kitten (less shipping charges, if applicable) upon being provided a necropsy report (at buyers expense) from a licensed veterinarian stating the unquestionable genetic or congenital defect that resulted in death. No replacement will be given without a necropsy. No exceptions! The kitten will be replaced with a traditional blue or seal kitten in a pattern of the Sellers choosing within one year, and will be given out of a spring or summer litter. Chocolates, Lilacs, Blue Eyed Whites and Minks are not given as replacements. NO VETERINARY EXPENSES OR MONETARY REFUNDS FOR A KITTEN PURCHASED FROM THREE RIVERS RAGDOLLS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON. PET INSURANCE HAS BEEN OFFERED THROUGH TRUPANION (See below to enroll your kitten) AND MUST BE ACTIVATED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF PICK UP. IF PURCHASER DECLINES THE PET INSURANCE, THEY MUST INITIAL HERE , ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THEY (THE BUYER) TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL VETERINARY BILLS ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR KITTEN.
This cat/kitten must be kept indoors at all times and not allowed to roam freely outside.
**FOR BREEDERS ONLY... If purchased as a breeder and cat does not produce a litter of kittens by the age of 24 months (for females) and 36 months (for males) after being bred to TWO proven males or females, kitten will be replaced with one of equal gender, type and value when one becomes available. Purchaser agrees not to resell or place cat or kitten into any other cattery for breeding purposes and must spay/neuter when retired from breeding. Seller retains the first option to re-adopt. Purchaser agrees to not breed cat past the age of 5 years. Females not being able to produce offspring due to pyometra are not covered under this contract. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer.
**All pet kittens will come spayed or neutered prior to leaving. TICA registration papers will be provided at the time of sale.
This kitten is guaranteed negative for FeLV, and FIV and free of external and internal parasites, including fleas at the time of purchase and for only 72 hours thereafter. Viruses, diarrhea, colds and upper respiratory infections are not covered under this guarantee as they may be contracted after leaving our cattery and are not the result of genetics or breeding. FIP is a virus and is covered ONLY until kittens 6 month birthday and a replacement will be offered after a necropsy is performed at Buyers expense, confirming FIP. Breeder has no control over what kitten/cat is exposed to once it leaves our cattery and FIP will not be covered after 6 months.
Breeder does not make any guarantees about personality, size or coat color. Three Rivers Ragdolls is not responsible for any allergies to cat/kitten and any allergies are not covered under this guarantee.
Kitten is not to be declawed under any circumstances. If a kitten or cat purchased from Three Rivers Ragdolls is declawed, the health guarantee will be void immediately.
Kitten is not to be resold under any circumstances. If the kitten is found to have been sold or given away, the health guarantee is void and not transferrable. If you are unable to keep your kitten we will work with you to find a suitable home. No refunds will be given for a kitten/cat purchased from Three Rivers Ragdolls.
This kitten must be kept in a clean, indoor environment. All veterinary expenses and yearly vaccines are the responsibility of the Buyer. A copy of the kittens health records have been provided with the kitten. Buyer agrees that an FVRCP booster AND a Rabies vaccine will not be given at the same time as a potentially life threatening reaction may occur. Breeder does not warranty cat/kitten from any adverse reactions against future vaccinations.. Buyer also agrees that the Felv and FIP shots WILL NOT BE GIVEN at any time. If the buyer chooses to inoculate for FIP or Felv the health guarantee is void immediately.
The Sellers maximum liability to the Buyer for any and all losses, claims, damages, or liability of any kind shall be limited to the amount paid by the Buyer to the Seller for the kitten under this agreement or $_______. If Buyer fails to comply with any aspect of the agreement, the Buyer forfeits any rights the Buyer may otherwise have. This contract establishes the overall terms and conditions applicable for the purchase of a Ragdoll kitten from Three Rivers Ragdolls. All terms and conditions remain in effect from one year of the kittens date of birth.
The Buyer acknowledges that the Seller has fulfilled all terms of the Contract and Buyer agrees unequivocally that Buyer SHALL NOT make any representations to the contrary, or otherwise, to any person, entity, verbally, in written correspondence, or in any social or news media (Internet, Facebook, Twitter, television or print media, etc.)
